CLIC SEA by CLIC RECYCLE Wins Environmental Award at the V GO! SDGs Recognition

Today we celebrate an important milestone for CLIC RECYCLE and for sustainable innovation in Spain.
Our project CLIC SEA has been awarded in the Environmental category at the V GO! SDGs Recognition, an initiative presented by UN Global Compact Spain and Fundación Rafael del Pino. The recognition highlights innovative initiatives that deliver real solutions aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Selected among 161 nominations, the award acknowledges the impact and potential of our work in advancing circular and regenerative environmental solutions.
Turning Waste into Solutions for the Ocean
CLIC SEA transforms human hair waste into biodegradable barriers capable of capturing pollutants in aquatic ecosystems. These barriers help reduce marine pollution while contributing to the regeneration of coastal infrastructures through a blue circular economy approach.
By rethinking waste as a resource, the project demonstrates how innovative biomaterials can support healthier oceans and more resilient coastal environments.
A Collaborative Innovation
This achievement would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of key partners, including:
-
Port de Barcelona
-
L'Oréal
-
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
-
Agència de Residus de Catalunya
Together, we are working to develop and deploy innovative circular solutions that address marine pollution and contribute to more sustainable coastal ecosystems.
Innovation for the SDGs
This recognition reinforces our mission at CLIC RECYCLE: to transform waste into regenerative solutions with real impact for the planet.
We would also like to congratulate the other award-winning and finalist initiatives, whose work shows that innovation, collaboration, and sustainability are essential to building a more resilient and environmentally responsible future.
Our sincere thanks go to UN Global Compact Spain and Fundación Rafael del Pino for promoting talent and innovation in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
