Clic Recycle at WAS 2026
How can we turn real problems into practical solutions? This was the central challenge of WAS, where students came together to explore circular economy challenges through a collaborative hackathon.
On 15 October, Clic Recycle took part in the initiative organised by Women Action Sustainability (WAS) at Barcelona Circular (BAC). During the event, we supported the students as they analysed existing problems, developed ideas and explored possible solutions.
Rather than approaching sustainability as an abstract concept, the hackathon encouraged participants to tackle concrete challenges and think about how solutions could work in practice. Our contribution was to share our perspective and support the students throughout the process, questioning assumptions and helping shape their proposals.
At Clic Recycle, we understand that progress often starts by looking at familiar problems from a different perspective. Initiatives like this create a space for experimentation and collaboration, while giving students the chance to apply their creativity and critical thinking to challenges beyond the classroom.
Thank you to WAS and Barcelona Circular for bringing everyone together, and to the students who took on the challenge with curiosity and commitment.
