CLIC RECYCLE Featured in “Shedding Value: When Hair Becomes a Climate Solution”

We're thrilled to be featured in Abhishek Agrawal's recent LinkedIn post, highlighting the innovative work of CLIC RECYCLE and our mission to turn everyday hair waste into climate-positive solutions.
Every year, millions of tonnes of human hair are discarded—often burned or sent to landfills. CLIC RECYCLE is transforming this overlooked resource through a subscription-based collection model, helping salons divert waste from incineration and landfills.
The collected hair is then repurposed into low-carbon, biodegradable products, including:
Mulch mats for agriculture
Soft, sustainable yarns
Oil-absorbing nets for cleaning polluted waterways
By reimagining shed hair as a resource rather than waste, CLIC RECYCLE demonstrates the power of circular thinking in action. Founded by Valérie Itey, our innovation is a concrete example of how creative solutions can tackle environmental challenges while creating value.
We're grateful to Abhishek Agrawal for shining a light on our work and for supporting the conversation around circular economy and climate solutions.
