CLIC RECYCLE Featured by Solar Impulse Foundation for Blue Economy Solutions

13/01/2026

CLIC RECYCLE is proud to be recognized by the Solar Impulse Foundation in the Ocean Opportunity Guide A, a solutions' guide showcasing profitable, scalable innovations that protect marine ecosystems while supporting economic resilience.

Our product line CLIC SEA, which transforms human hair and plant-based fibers into bio-based materials for ocean and coastal applications, is highlighted as a concrete solution contributing to a sustainable blue economy. This recognition underscores the potential of circular and regenerative approaches to deliver both environmental and economic impact.

We were especially honored to share this moment with Dr. Bertrand Piccard, founder of the Solar Impulse Foundation during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, whose vision and commitment to systems change and long-term impact continue to inspire innovators worldwide

The timing of this recognition is particularly meaningful in light of the UN High Seas Treaty, which recently entered into force. Covering two-thirds of the world's oceans, the treaty establishes legally binding rules to conserve marine life, create protected areas, and strengthen scientific cooperation. It lays the groundwork to protect at least 30% of the planet's land and sea by 2030, a milestone for both environmental and economic sustainability.

CLIC RECYCLE's inclusion in the Ocean Opportunity Guide A demonstrates that protecting natural systems—on land or at sea—can be both profitable and impactful. Our commitment to circular solutions, from CLIC TERRA in agriculture to CLIC SEA for marine applications, continues to drive meaningful change for people, communities, and the planet.
