CLIC RECYCLE at WAS 2026

02/11/2026

How can we turn real-world problems into practical solutions? This was the challenge at the heart of WAS, where students came together to explore circular economy challenges through a collaborative hackathon.

On 15 October, CLIC RECYCLE joined the initiative organised by Women Action Sustainability (WAS), in collaboration with TeamLabs/, at Barcelona Circular (BAC). Throughout the event, we supported students as they examined existing problems, developed ideas and explored possible ways to address them.

Rather than approaching sustainability as an abstract concept, the hackathon encouraged participants to engage with concrete challenges and think about how solutions could work in practice. Our contribution was to share our perspective and support the students as they worked through the process, questioned assumptions, and shaped their proposals.

At CLIC RECYCLE, we believe that progress often begins by looking at familiar problems from a different angle. Initiatives like this create space for experimentation and collaboration, while giving students the chance to apply their creativity and critical thinking to challenges beyond the classroom.

Thank you to WAS and Barcelona Circular for bringing everyone together, and to the students who took on the challenge with curiosity and commitment.
